On the 14th of Farvardin (April 3rd) each year, an impressive crowd of over 50,000 people from various parts of Iran gathers at the renowned “Zeinal-khan” arena in Esfarayen to witness an exhilarating wrestling competition. This tournament holds great significance as one of Iran’s most celebrated local sports events, attracting Olympic athletes and world champions to compete for the championship title. The wrestlers wear a distinctive attire known as “Choukha,” which includes a short cape fastened with a white shawl, adding to the unique spectacle of the matches.

14 فروردین‌ماه هر سال بیش از 50 هزار نفر از سراسر ایران به گود «زینل خان» در شهر اسفراین می‌روند تا شاهد مسابقه‌ کشتی با چوخه باشند‌. این مسابقات یکی از معروف‌ترین ورزش‌های محلی ایران است که ورزشکاران المپیکی و قهرمانان جهان رشته کشتی در آن شرکت می کنند. چوخه نام لباسی است که کشتی گیران این رشته به تن می کنند که از شنل کوتاهی که کشتی گیران آن را با شال سفیدرنگی محکم می کنند تشکیل شده است.
